How can we adapt our yoga—in and out of the studio—to meet the needs of individual students, no matter who they are or what their circumstances may be? How do we effectively and compassionately offer yoga and mindfulness classes for vulnerable youth, first responders, survivors of trauma, or others during times of vulnerability, while still caring for ourselves? Throughout this supportive weekend, we will gather concrete tools to integrate directly into our work with others.

Choose one of three Pre-Conference Intensives: 1) Trauma-Informed Yoga & Mindfulness, 2) The Chakras in Action, and 3) Growing & Sustaining a Yoga Service Organization. Then, join us for the full Conference to:

      • Discover ways to adapt yoga to meet unique individual needs
      • Learn to use yoga effectively in clinical or therapeutic settings
      • Address issues of diversity, inclusion, safety, and the influence of implicit bias
      • Discuss how to start, grow, and sustain a yoga service organization or network
      • Examine the benefits and challenges of introducing yoga and mindfulness practices to a variety of communities

Optional roundtable discussions and mentoring sessions with advisors and board members from the Yoga Service Council are available. We also gather for a special celebratory music event on Saturday night.

You’ll return home with a renewed sense of purpose and passion, expanded networking and community building skills, and the heartfelt inspiration you need to continue making a difference in the world.
