Lynne Staropoli Boucher is the President of the Yoga Service Council’s Board of Directors. Lynne attended the very first Yoga Service Conference in 2012 and has been actively involved in national and regional yoga service work ever since. She was asked to serve as an Advisor to the Board of YSC in 2017, was added to the Board of Directors in 2018.

Lynne served as Director of the Center for Spirituality at Nazareth College in Rochester, NY for 18 years and coordinated a nationally award winning “Yoga Revolution” on campus which included extensive yoga programs for hundreds of faculty, staff, students and alumni in the campus community. 

Lynne is currently a full-time yoga coach and teacher who leads innovative yoga programs through her Yoga Revolution project (www.rocyogarevolution.com). She has a great passion for helping people play on the edge of their comfort zone, especially through Acro Yoga, Paddleboard (SUP) Yoga, Yoga for Athletes, and outdoor yoga. 

Along with a team of justice-minded yoga teachers, Lynne founded the Rochester Yoga Service Network (RYSN) whose mission is to share the practice of yoga with underserved populations in the Rochester community. In a spirit of cooperation and community engagement, RYSN provides a supportive network for local yoga service providers, including training, reflection, and resourcing. Lynne’s on-going yoga service work in Rochester is primarily with urban youth, in partnership with the local Teen Empowerment program. Lynne is deeply dedicated to bringing yoga to those in our community who have not yet had access to its healing powers.
