Yoga Service Project Alaska (YSPA) is an organization of yoga teachers and community members committed to creating accessible trauma-informed yoga programs for people of all ages, experiences, and backgrounds in isolated communities. In creating equal access to yoga and mindfulness practices, these programs support healing, resilience, self-development, community building, and positive social change. YSPA is a project of Blossom House 501(c)(3) and currently offers yoga programs at Fairbanks Correctional Center (FCC), Fairbanks Youth Facility (FYF), Family Centered Services Residential Treatment Center (formerly the Boys and Girls Home), and Ralph Perdue Residential Treatment Center. Blossom House is located in Fairbanks, Alaska on the ancestral and unceded traditional territory of the Lower Tanana Dene Athabascans, some of the many First Peoples of Alaska.
