Tamara Y. Jeffries, RYT-200, specializes in yoga classes for people who are “not twenty, not skinny and not bendy.” She focuses on offering yoga to people who are new to yoga, people who are in bigger bodies or otherwise not your “typical” yoga types. She has taught in summer camps and after-school programs, and worked with private yoga clients. By profession, Tamara is a professor, journalist and health editor who covers all aspects of health and wellness. A former Rosalyn Carter Mental Health Fellow, Tamara has a special interest in how yoga can encourage mental and emotional wellness. To increase her knowledge of yoga for mental health, she has workshopped with Bo Forbes PhD, Amy Weintraub and M. Mala Cunningham.
